What Jimmy Meant to Me
Marjorie Hite

To me, Jimmy meant a lot of things. He was like a brother, friend, and most of all a caring and loving person. This was important to me because I am adopted and did not have any brothers close to my age. He did not care how you looked or even how silly you acted. Jimmy as a good listener and you could talk to him about anything. Jimmy would let you know if you were right or wrong, which was very good.
I only knew Jimmy for just over 2 years. In fact, he was only 2 years younger than I was. I will miss him dearly but he will always be in my heart and in my thoughts. During the last several months of Jimmy's life, I was able to be there for the long winter afternoons. We played many games, which seemed to help the days go by faster for him. To this day, my one and only regret is that I did not have more time to spend with Jimmy and not all of my children will know him.
Jimmy was a special uncle to my daughter Martika. In fact, he would always joke and tell everyone she was his baby. To me, Jimmy is her Guardian Angel. When Jimmy passed away, he was buried with a guardian angle, which matches the one my daughter wears and he is watching over all of us.
